Updating 4.01m33-2 PSP Custom Firmware

Instructions:
Download and Extract the content
Copy UPDATE folder /PSP/GAME/ and run.
Put the 4.01 sony update as 401.PBP in same folder, or let the program download it for you using a wifi connection.

1. Download this link Popsloader
2. Extract and copy the folder seplugins to your memorystick root and overwrite the files if it ask you to by, plugging your psp to your computer using your usb cable.
3. Unplug your psp and shutdown your psp by holding the power button
4. While holding the R button openup your psp again and it will lead you to the Recovery Module
5. Select the "Plugins" and enable the popsloader.prx plugin
6. Press Back and then Exit
7. Before playing a PSX Eboot Games hold R then OK before playing a PSX games so that you can choose what popsloader version to use in playing a PSX Eboot game.

Here's the 1st DragonBall game in the psp console, Surely its successor Shin Budokai Dragon Ball Z: Another Road have more extra features and characters(ex. Future Gohan). And I was forced to play this game with my friends, because they don't have the Shin Budokai 2 game ,it requires more diskspace and lastly the screen is fixed(wth is that!!) hehe . And there I was badly beaten by one of my friends who has the oldest psp in our group.., surely if it is the Shin Budokai 2 i can beat him anytime because I was used in playing that game!!!

Instructions:

Download the screencapture pack
Unzip the file you’ve downloaded.
Connect your PSP to your PC using a USB Cable. Check if you have already the seplugins folder on the root of your memory stick. If you don’t have it yet then proceed to step 4. If you do already have it then proceed to step 5.
Do this only if you don’t have the seplugins folder yet. Copy the seplugins folder from your computer to the root of your memory stick.
If you did step 4 then skip this step. You only have to follow this step if you already have an existing seplugins folder. Copy screenshotbmp.prx from the seplugins on your computer to the seplugins folder on the root of your memory stick. Now go to the seplugins on your memory stick. If you have vsh.txt already present, you have to open the file and edit it. Open it in Notepad or any text editor and add these code in a new line: ms0:/seplugins/screenshotbmp.prx
Check if you also have pops.txt and game.txt present on your seplugins folder in your memory stick. If you have it then do the same routine, edit it and paste that line of code in a new line. Otherwise you can just grab the game.txt and pops.txt from the file you’ve downloaded.
Disconnect your PSP from your computer. Now open the recovery menu. How? Turn off your PSP then turn it on again while pressing the R button. On your recovery menu, go to Plugins and enable all the screenshotbmp.prx plugins. Exit the recovery menu.
Try it on your XMB. Press the note button. You will know the screenshot plugin is working when an inverse color of your screen will sweep from the bottom to the top. The screenshot will be saved on your PICTURES folder on your memory stick and you can also view it by going to Photo > memory stick on your PSP.

Here's some 50 PSP Themes i've got on my harddisk. Guess i have to share it lol . Starting in 3.71m33 custom firmware you can easily change your theme easily without flashing its flash0 which is very dangerous. Once you downloaded the file,
copy and paste the .ptf files to your PSP "ROOT/PSP/Themes". Then go to Setting->Theme Settings then select the themes you want. ^_^

Ok so your psp has currently custom firmware 3.90m33 installed and you want to update to 3.90m33-2, which also fixed some bugs in the last version.

How to Update

Download the update file here
Extract the content into your desktop(depends on you also)
Connect your psp to your pc using the usb cable....
Copy the UPDATE folder and paste it to your ROOT/PSP/GAME/
Disconnect your psp from your pc
Open your psp and Run the Updater which is in your XMB Game Browser

PSP Installing Custom Firmware 3.90m33 on PSP

Well for a fat psp user just like me,custom firmware 3.90m33 doest'nt change a difference if your on 3.71m33 or 3.80m33, because the SKYPE aplication is only available for Slim PSP. And some homebrew software will not work after upgrading, you just need to wait for their release so that tit supports 3.90 firmware. Nonetheless here's how i updated my psp to 3.90m33

Take note before installing :

PSP (fat or slim)with with a custom firmware installer 3.52m33-4 or higher such as 3.71m33-5 or 3.80m33
Your psp battery status is 90% or higher, you dont want to end up bricking your psp, when your psp suddenly shut downs during the installation process.
USB cable to transfer the installation files

Instruction

Download the installation file here and extract/unzip it to your desktop and copy the "UPDATE" folder to your "ROOT/PSP/GAME/ and paste it their
Disconnect your usb cable , and go to your XMB Game browser to run the 3.90 M33 UPDATE. READ Carefully.
After a minute you will be asked to reboot your psp, press X or O to reboot properly
Then after rebooting go to System Settings -> System Information to check if it is 3.90 m33.

PSP SNES Emulator - Snes 9x

If there is a gba emulator for the psp,of course there is also an snes emulator for psp, to play older games such as Mario and Final Fantasy VI, but you also need their roms to be able to play them after running the program. Just paste the extracted folder "snes" folder to your "MemoryRoot/PSP/Game" and an icon of it will be added to your XMB game browser

Requirements to run SNES9x

A psp with a custom firmware such as 3.54m33-6/3.71m33-5 / 3.90m33(latest)
SNES Roms - the actual game you need to load these roms inside the SNES9x program. you can download some snes roms here Romulation.. Paste the rom files inside the "Roms" folder in the SNES folder.

I've been using this homebrew software to play gba games to my psp just like playing an original gba console , make sure your psp is currently in a custom firmware(such as 3.54m33, 3.71m33, 3.80m33, 3.90m33) as it will not work for the sony official firmware(without m33). Extract and paste the "gPSP folder" to your "ROOT/PSP/Game" folder and it will appear as a new game to your xmb browser. And before you can play some gba games you need a gba game rom and paste it to the ROMS folder inside the gPsp folder. You can find some gba roms in this site www.romulation.net
